Standards
To ensure we can provide you with reliable IT support and maintain optimal system performance, we require that all computers receiving managed IT services meet the following minimum specifications.

Hardware Requirements
Minimum Standard
8 GB RAM
256 GB SSD Storage (Solid State Drive)
Intel Core i5 (7th gen or newer) or AMD Ryzen 5 equivalent processor
Gigabit Ethernet or modern Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) network capable

Operating System Requirements
Windows: Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, or Education; Windows 10 Pro (with extended support)
macOS: macOS 12 (Monterey) or newer
Other: Please contact us to confirm compatibility

Why These Standards Matter
Computers that fall below these specifications may experience:
-
Slow performance and extended boot times that impact productivity
-
Compatibility issues with modern business software and security tools
-
Memory limitations that prevent our monitoring and support tools from running effectively
-
Storage constraints that leave insufficient space for system updates and patches
-
Outdated hardware drivers that create system instability

What Happens If Your Computer Doesn't Meet Standards
We cannot guarantee serviceability or support performance for computers that do not meet these minimum requirements. If your computer falls below these specifications, we may be unable to:
-
Install or maintain our remote monitoring and management tools
-
Apply critical security patches and updates
-
Troubleshoot performance issues effectively
-
Ensure compatibility with modern business applications
-
Provide timely technical support
In these cases, we strongly recommend upgrading your hardware before we continue managed support. This protects both your data and your productivity.

Upgrading Below-Standard Equipment
If your computer does not meet these standards, we recommend:
-
Adding RAM: Upgrading from 4GB to 8GB RAM is a cost-effective way to improve performance.
-
Upgrading to SSD storage: Replacing an older hard drive with a 256GB SSD dramatically improves boot times and responsiveness.
-
Upgrading the operating system: Ensure you're running a supported Windows 11 or current macOS version.
-
Replacing the computer: We strive to get the most life out of technology when possible and appropriate, but sometimes it's necessary to upgrade. If your hardware is several years old, a new computer may be the most reliable and cost effective option.
